PlayStation DualSense
PS5 OwnersThe console pad with resistance in the triggers and a detailed haptic motor in each grip.
The short version
Short answer: worth buying for PC only if you already own one, or if you specifically want the trigger and haptic effects in the handful of games that support them.
The triggers really are different
Each trigger can push back with variable resistance, so drawing a bow or pulling a heavy trigger has a physical weight to it. In the games built around it the effect is excellent. On PC the list of those games is short, and everything else treats it as an ordinary trigger.
Haptics instead of rumble
The vibration motors are precise enough to convey texture, like rain on a surface or gravel underfoot, rather than the usual buzz. This carries over to PC more often than the trigger effects do.
Living with it on PC
Support varies. Some games recognise it natively and show the right prompts, others need a compatibility layer and show Xbox icons regardless. If you do not already own one, the simpler pad is the better PC purchase.
Who it suits
Buy it if you own a PS5, where it is not really a choice, or if you play on PC and want to feel the difference in the small number of games that support it properly. When a game implements the triggers well, the effect is genuinely unlike anything another pad does.
Skip it for PC as your only controller. Support is inconsistent, button prompts often show the wrong glyphs, and the advanced features frequently do nothing at all.
What to buy instead
The Xbox Wireless Controller at 167 is the safe PC default and costs less. The 8BitDo Ultimate 2C at 133 is the pick if stick drift is your main worry. Neither does what this does when a game supports it, and both do the basics with less friction.
Buying it in the UAE
Widely available and the colour variants vary in price more than they should. Battery life is the weak point and it is shorter than both alternatives here, so a charging cable within reach of the sofa is part of owning one rather than an accessory.
