Review Methodology
PCPartsUAE produces buying guides, analyses, and news for UAE PC builders. This page explains how that content is produced, what our data sources are, and where the limits are.
Our testing approach
Our analyses are based on published benchmarks, specifications, and community data. We do not currently have a dedicated test lab. When we reference performance numbers - such as frame rates, thermal results, or benchmark scores - those numbers come from published reviews by independent outlets that do have test hardware, and we link to that reporting where possible rather than presenting it as our own.
We do not fabricate testing claims. If an article says "based on published benchmarks from [source]," that is what it means. If an article does not cite a source for a performance claim, that is an error and should be reported through our contact page.
How products are evaluated
Products in our buying guides are selected based on:
- Published benchmark data - performance relative to competitors at different price tiers
- UAE pricing and availability - what the part actually costs from retailers like Amazon.ae, other UAE retailers, and local shops in Computer Plaza
- Platform and compatibility - whether the part fits sensible build configurations
- Community feedback - reported reliability, known issues, and real-world owner experiences from forums and communities
We do not assign numerical scores. Our guides recommend parts based on the criteria above and explain the reasoning.
UAE pricing verification
Prices listed in our guides and articles are verified against UAE retailers at the time of publication. We check:
- Amazon.ae
- other UAE retailers
- UAE retailers
- Local shops in Computer Plaza (Al Ain Centre), Dubai
UAE hardware prices change frequently - sometimes weekly. Articles note the verification date. If a price has changed significantly since publication, we update the article when we become aware of it. Check the "Last updated" date at the top of each article.
What we don't do
- We don't have a test bench or lab hardware for hands-on benchmarking
- We don't fabricate first-hand experience or testing claims
- We don't accept paid placements in our buying guides
- We don't assign scores or ratings without a defined methodology
Article types
We label our content by type so readers know what they're getting:
- Analysis - researched content based on published data and specifications, without hands-on testing
- Buying Guide - recommendation and comparison articles organized by price tier and use case
- News - reported industry news and announcements
- Explainer - educational content explaining how things work
- Review - hands-on evaluation (reserved for when we have physical access to a product, which is currently rare)
