Correction & Update Policy
PCPartsUAE is committed to accuracy. We correct errors promptly and transparently. This policy explains how we handle corrections, updates, and disclosures.
How we correct factual errors
When we discover a factual error - wrong specifications, incorrect pricing, wrong release dates, or misattributed information - we correct it as soon as possible. The correction is made directly in the article, and a note is added at the bottom explaining what was changed and when.
Correction format
Corrections appear as a note at the bottom of the article:
Correction (September 2, 2026): This article originally stated [incorrect information]. This has been corrected to [correct information]. We apologize for the error.
When we update articles
- Pricing: UAE prices change frequently. We update pricing when significant changes occur or when we verify new data. The "Last updated" date at the top of each article reflects the most recent verification.
- Product availability: When products go out of stock, are discontinued, or new models launch, we update or add notes to affected articles.
- New information: When official sources release new specs, benchmarks, or announcements that change our analysis, we update the article and note the change.
- Buyer's guide updates: Our buying guides are reviewed quarterly. Picks may change as pricing, availability, and new product launches shift the market.
How significant corrections are disclosed
- Minor corrections (typo fixes, minor phrasing changes) are made silently.
- Factual corrections (wrong spec, wrong price, wrong date) get a correction note at the bottom of the article.
- Major corrections (entire recommendation changed, significant factual error) get a correction note plus an update to the "Last updated" date.
How we handle outdated UAE prices
UAE electronics pricing changes weekly. We handle this by:
- Noting "Prices are estimates - check current listings" on all articles with pricing
- Adding "Last updated" dates so readers know how recent the pricing data is
- Updating prices when we verify new data from Amazon.ae, UAE retailers, Gear-up, or Computer Plaza
- Marking articles as outdated if pricing has changed significantly since the last update
