Dubai apartments are expensive and small. A full-tower PC takes up half your desk. Mini-ITX builds give you 90% of the performance in 40% of the space. Here's how to do it right.
Best Mini-ITX cases (2026)
| Case | Size | GPU Clearance | Cooler Height | Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cooler Master NR200P Max | 18L | 330mm | 153mm | ~500 AED |
| SSUPD Meshlicious | 14.7L | 336mm | 70mm (AIO only) | ~400 AED |
| Lian Li Dan A4-H2O | 11L | 322mm | 55mm (AIO only) | ~350 AED |
| NZXT H1 V2 | 13L | 324mm | N/A (AIO included) | ~600 AED |
Build: Compact Gaming (~4,500 AED)
| Component | Pick | Est. Price |
|---|---|---|
| CPU | AMD Ryzen 5 9600X | ~650 AED |
| GPU | RTX 5060 Ti 16GB (compact) | ~2,750 AED |
| Motherboard | Gigabyte B650I Aorus Ultra (Mini-ITX) | ~1,255 AED |
| RAM | Crucial DDR5 6000 32GB | ~1,840 AED |
| SSD | Kingston NV3 1TB NVMe | ~525 AED |
| PSU | Corsair SF750 750W SFX Platinum | ~640 AED |
| Case | Cooler Master NR200P MAX | ~1,270 AED |
| Cooler | Noctua NH-L12S (low-profile) | ~220 AED |
Total: ~9,150 AED - compact, powerful, desk-friendly, and far more expensive than it was six months ago. Prices checked against live Amazon.ae listings in September 2026.
Memory is what broke this build. A 32GB DDR5 6000 kit sold for around 350 AED when this guide was first written and now sits near 1,840 AED across every brand on Amazon.ae - see our coverage of the DRAM price climb. That single line item is most of the overshoot, and no parts swap fixes it, because every kit moved together. Small form factor makes it worse: the mini-ITX board, the SFX power supply and the NR200P MAX each carry a size premium over their ATX equivalents, and those three alone account for roughly 3,100 AED. If the budget matters more than the footprint, the same components in a normal mATX case save close to 2,000.
SFF thermal tips for Dubai
- Mesh panels are mandatory - small cases trap heat faster, airflow is everything
- Undervolt your CPU - free 10-15C temperature drop in a small case
- AIO > air in small cases - if the case supports it, AIO exhausts heat out of the case directly
- Don't put it in a cabinet - SFF PCs need open air. A closed cabinet = oven.
- Consider a slim GPU - 2-slot GPUs fit better and leave room for airflow
SFF vs mid-tower
| Factor | SFF (Mini-ITX) | Mid-Tower (ATX) |
|---|---|---|
| Size | 10-20L | 40-50L |
| Performance | 90-95% of ATX | 100% |
| Upgradeability | Limited (1 GPU, 2 RAM slots) | Full (multiple GPUs, 4 RAM slots) |
| Thermals | Tighter, needs planning | Easier, more airflow |
| Price | 10-20% more (SFX PSU, ITX board) | Cheaper (standard parts) |
| Portability | Carry-on friendly | Needs a truck |
