How to Play GTA 6 in the UAE

Updated September 2026 · Prices in AED, converted from Rockstar's listed USD pricing · Written by the PCPartsUAE Editorial Team

Short answer: GTA 6 launches 19 November 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only. There is no PC version and no date for one. If you are a PC player, you cannot play it at launch, and no amount of money spent on a graphics card will change that.

When it launches

Release day is 19 November 2026, worldwide and simultaneous. Rockstar has confirmed there is no early access, so preordering does not get you in sooner. Everyone starts on the same day.

If you preorder digitally you can preload from 12 November, a week ahead. On UAE home connections that is worth doing rather than starting a very large download on launch night alongside everyone else.

Which platforms

Two, and only two: PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Not PS4, not Xbox One, and not PC. If your console is the previous generation, GTA 6 is not a game you can buy into without new hardware.

Editions and what they cost

Rockstar lists the Standard Edition at 79.99 USD and the Ultimate Edition at 99.99 USD. That converts to roughly 295 AED and 370 AED respectively, before whatever local pricing and taxes UAE storefronts apply, so treat those as a floor rather than a final number.

Digital buyers in the UAE can order through the PlayStation Store or the Microsoft Store on Xbox. Physical copies turn up at the usual UAE retailers closer to launch, and physical is often the cheaper route here once the discounting starts, though you give up the preload.

The PC question

This is the part that matters for most people reading this site, and the answer is unsatisfying: Rockstar has not announced a PC version. Not a date, not a window, not a confirmation that one is coming at all.

History is the only guide. GTA 5 arrived on consoles in September 2013 and on PC in April 2015, roughly eighteen months later. Red Dead Redemption 2 took about a year. Rockstar has consistently shipped PC ports after the console release, usually with improved visuals and higher frame rate ceilings, but it has never committed to a schedule in advance.

What that means practically: if you are a PC-only player, plan on waiting, and plan on the wait being measured in many months rather than weeks. Anyone quoting you a specific PC date right now is guessing, confidently.

So what should you actually do?

If you want to play at launch: you need a PS5 or a Series X|S. That is the whole decision. Buy the console you would want anyway for other games, because one game is a thin reason to commit to a platform you will then live with for the next five years.

If you are a PC player who can wait: do nothing. Do not buy parts now. There are no published requirements to build against, and any hardware you buy today will be a year or more old, and cheaper, by the time a PC version actually exists. We wrote up what is known and what is guesswork about the PC requirements separately.

If you were going to upgrade anyway: upgrade for the games you play now. Our GPU guide and build guides are built around what is actually on your screen this year, not a game with no PC release date.

UAE-specific notes

Two things worth knowing locally. First, launch-night bandwidth in dense residential buildings is genuinely a problem here, which is the real argument for the 12 November preload. Second, physical copies at UAE retailers tend to see discounting sooner than digital does, so if you are not in a hurry and do not need preload, waiting a few weeks usually costs less.

Prices are Rockstar's listed USD figures converted to AED and are not final UAE retail prices. Release and platform details are as announced at the time of writing.
