PCPartsUAE started with a simple frustration: most PC hardware advice online is written for the US or Europe. Prices are in dollars, availability is assumed, and nobody talks about what parts actually cost — or stay in stock — in the UAE market. Also, half of it reads like it was written by a press release with a pulse.
Dubai is a unique market for PC builders. We have access to most global releases, but pricing fluctuates wildly between retailers like Microless, Gear-up, Newegg UAE, Amazon.ae, and local shops in Computer Plaza (Al Ain Centre). A GPU that's a "budget pick" in dollars can be a terrible deal in dirhams once shipping and local markup hit. Our goal is to cut through that noise and give builders in the UAE advice that makes sense for their actual wallet.
Who's behind this?
A small team of PC enthusiasts based in Dubai who have been building and upgrading systems for over a decade. Between us we've assembled dozens of rigs — from compact budget 1080p machines to full custom-loop 4K workstations — and we've made (and paid for) plenty of mistakes so you don't have to.
How we test and review
Every product we review has been used in a real build or tested on a bench. We don't review hardware we haven't touched. For components like GPUs and CPUs, we run a standardised test suite of games and productivity workloads, always noting the CPU, RAM, and resolution used so the numbers are comparable. For monitors, we check panel uniformity, response times, and backlight bleed — the stuff spec sheets gloss over.
We buy most of our test hardware ourselves. When a manufacturer or retailer provides a sample, we say so in the review and it never changes our verdict.
